About Us
Frames are Amar’s love language. If he’s not perfecting the practice, he’s probably blending teas so precise they could have their own tasting notes.
Serious about your vision. Casually serious about art galleries, airports, and buying books she definitely already owns a copy of.
Changes lives by day, delivers punchlines by night. When he’s not improving hearing, he’s cycling London or doing improv comedy — often with perfect timing.
A Camden institution with a cult following. Trusted by generations — and kept sharp by his grandchildren, who provide daily performance reviews.
Equal parts science, style, and speed. When he’s not fine-tuning eyewear, he’s go-karting, ice skating, or casually analysing the financial markets.
40 years of solving eye problems at lightning speed. Former DJ, lifelong lens geek, and proof that contact lenses really are rock ’n’ roll.
Yousra joins us from Tom Davies Ateliers, where frames are handled like priceless artwork (white gloves optional). She’ll make you feel deeply seen, emotionally and optically, while clocking details your own mother would miss.
Rudina arrives from Tom Davies Bespoke, where glasses are crafted like Savile Row suits. She loves optics — the rare mix of beauty and usefulness. Off duty? Super-mum, book lover, fitness fan… and undercover eyewear critic.
Jigar is our resident teddy bear — soft and cuddly, until a crooked hinge appears and designer mode activates. Trained by Oliver Goldsmith and briefly seduced by Tom Davies, he’s customer-first, detail-obsessed, and hug-ready (quality control is not optional)
Dr Shilpy — GP Principal and Harley Street aesthetics expert — believes the best compliment is “you look amazing,” not “who did your fillers?” Fittingly, her name means “sculpture”… which tells you everything.
Garry Kousoulou is a trailblazing optician turned digital marketing dynamo — a colourful character whose energy tends to arrive five minutes before he does. Wherever Garry goes, things get louder and brighter!
From the mountains of Afghanistan to the front line of optics, Baktash brings granite focus to Rodenstock lenses and the Camden team. Out of the practice, he’s either a gym rat or delivering lightning-fast checkmates—because precision is his game, whether it’s lenses, reps, or rooks!
We’ve been caring for Camden’s eyes since 1985—but the building itself has seen quite a bit more drama than an eye test.
Back in 1908, this very site was home to the local Post Office. It was here that a rather dubious gentleman, George Joseph Smith, persuaded his wife of just three weeks, Florence Wilson, to withdraw a sizeable chunk of her savings. He popped out, supposedly to buy a newspaper… and was never seen again.
Florence, it turns out, was the lucky one. Smith later became infamous as the “Brides in the Bath” killer, going on to marry (bigamously) and drown several other unfortunate wives.
So yes—compared to its past, today this building is a place of reassurance, clarity, and far better judgement. Florence Wilson had a fortunate escape. And Camden finally got a happy ending.
